Leave of absence requests

There is no automatic right for a leave of absence during term time.  The Headteacher may grant leave of absence but for no more than a total of ten school days in your child’s time at primary school (not each academic year).

In making the decision, your child’s level of attendance will be taken into consideration as will any unauthorised absences on their records.  If their attendance is below a satisfactory level as deemed by the school, leave will not be granted.

Leave of absence will NOT be granted whilst a child is studying in Year 2 or Year 6 until after the SATs period has finished and not at all during the month of September.
